The nose shows a cream, rustic cracker, green apple, light citrus, and mirabelle plum. The palate is focused and light with candied apples, cream, and yellow plum.
90% Pinot Noir and 10% Chardonnay from the challenging 2011 and 2010 vintages. The wine itself was fermented in old oak barrels with weekly batonnage and allowed to partially go through malolactic conversion before being aged on its lees for 24 months in bottle.
