2017 Dom. Cabirau Maury Sec  "Serge & Marie"

2020 Hartford Court Russian River Chardonnay

NV Jansz Sparkling Rose
Jeb Dunnuck: 92+ Points

A smaller production cuvée, the 2017 Maury Sec Serge & Marie checks in as 70% Grenache, 20% Carignan, and 10% Syrah that was brought up in a mix of foudre and used barrels. It's also the first vintage for new winemaker Marie Verges as well as the first vintage to ever see small barrels, which were purchased from Guigal in the Northern Rhône. Deep purple-colored with a smoky, meaty bouquet of black fruits, licorice, crushed rocks, and black olives, it’s rich, full-bodied, beautifully textured, and layered on the palate, with ripe tannins. This fleshy, expansive barrel sample has tons of potential.

Wine Advocate: 92 Points

The 2020 Chardonnay Russian River Valley was barrel fermented and matured 10 months in 28% new oak. It's composed of a blend of fruit from neighborhoods across the Russian River Valley: Middle Reach, Green Valley, Laguna Ridge, Santa Rosa Plain and Sebastopol Hills. It has a nose of white peaches and lime peel with touches of toast, dark spice and roasted almonds. The palate is lush and satiny, with hedonistic, spicy fruits and fresh acidity that makes this super easy to drink!

This offers attractive red berries and strawberry pastry, as well as some peach and melon notes. The palate has a supple, fresh delivery of quite deeply flavorful strawberries with a soft, gently creamy edge to the finish. Drink now.
