This bottle of Glen Grant has seen more than two decades of ageing after its distillation in May 1995. It matured nicely in a pair of bourbon barrels for 23 years, until the single malt was bottled in February 2019 for Signatory's Cask Strength Collection. The barrels saw an outturn of 448 bottles at 47.4% ABV.
Overall, a beautiful Glen Grant, fine and calm. The alcohol is super integrated, dangerously easy to drink. Easy to drink without being bored, only the surprisingly low fruitiness in taste compared to the nose and the somewhat unspectacular finish prevent an even higher rating.
