From the famous X2 block at Jurassic Park, these own-rooted vines were planted in 1978 on sandy limestone soils in the coastal Santa Ynez Valley. Notes from winemaker John Lockwood: From own-rooted vines planted in 1978, low yields and a long growing season made for a very complete 2021 vintage at Jurassic. The wine is intense and energetic with a real sense of drama.
