2019 Schiavenza Cerretta Barolo, Serralunga d'Alba
95 Points - James Suckling: Crushed berry, bark and mushroom aromas follow through to a full body with juicy tannins and a long and flavorful finish. Very well done for the vintage.
93 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: The Schiavenza 2019 Barolo Cerretta (with only 2,928 bottles made) is different from the other three wines in this flight in that it opens to softer and riper fruit tones, and the oak remains further in the background. The fruit recalls cooked cherry and blackcurrant, and with a little time, those oak-driven notes of spice and sweet cinnamon do filter through.
