Pinhook’s 2022 flagship rye. Distilled at Castle & Key Distillery in Frankfort, KY; blended by Pinhook Co-Founder and Master Blender, Sean Josephs. Mash bill of 60% rye, 20% malted barley, and 20% corn. Aged a minimum of 2 years. All non-GMO and locally sourced grains; proofed with ground-fed, limestone-filtered spring water. Bright aromas of pear, clove, walnut, and honeycomb precede a palate of baked apple, black pepper, and toffee. Non-chill filtered; 49.5% ABV.  The Pinhook ethos aims to produce the best whiskey in each and every vintage. This “winemaker’s approach” to whiskey highlights unique attributes of mature barrels at a proof where the blend drinks best. This year’s core rye leans into a distinctive floral and fruity front palate before transitioning to classic rye spice.
