2022 Domaine Dujac Bonnes Mares GC
96-98 Points - Vinous: The 2022 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru probably has more of a favorable bouquet at this prenatal stage of all of Dujac's wines: raspberry and wild strawberry, crushed limestone, touches of rose petal - it just blossoms in the glass and conveys a sense of grandeur. The palate is medium-bodied with a velvety smooth texture, a perfectly judged line of acidity counterbalancing the density. There is a sense of completeness to this Bonnes-Maress that ranks amongst the best of this vintage. Regal.
95-98 Points - Jasper Morris: Jeremy estimates that their Bonnes Mares is now 55% on the red/brown soil and 45% on white. Medium to deep purple. One of the ripest on the nose, with raspberries and cherries as full and flavoursome as they can be before becoming cooked. The wilder savoury character is certainly there, and in fact everything comes together. Really requires long term patience, thinks Jeremy. The tannins give structure which the fruit benefits from. In the end, not too ripe. Drink from 2032-2040.
