91 Points - Vinous:  The 2022 Spätburgunder R was harvested on limestone in Siebeldingen on the Sonnenschein site. Tender smoke, pristine, ripe cherry and even a touch of Kirsch appears on the nose. The palate is superbly smooth and wonderfully restrained in its power, with lovely density and subtlety. Its tannins are dense and fine. The juicy fruit notes verge from red to black cherry. This is quite a mouthful of Pinot for a village wine. (Bone-dry)
