93 Points - James Suckling:  A restrained wine with a nose of mint, lime peel, ferns, white pepper and broom flowers. Medium-bodied with a silky texture, zesty acidity and smoky depth. Tight yet balanced. Peaty aftertaste. Drink or hold.

Winemaker Notes:  Derthona is a long-lived wine. The first years in bottle release a fruity peach fragrance, acacia and hawthorn blossoms aromas, and cotton candy as well. A powerful scent of honey also comes out. When young, hydrocarbon and mineral notes are less distinct, but bottle aging of a few years makes it even more appealing.
