Castello di Verduno is an historic Piemontese estate that makes classic Barolo and Barbaresco from prime vineyard sites in both appellations, but the winery is also well known for their Pelaverga, a varietal indigenous to the village of Verduno. Pelaverga produces red wines that are light in color but savory and distinctive on the palate. Castello di Verduno's Pelaverga is aged in stainless steel before bottling without filtration.
