The Dalmore 21 year Single Malt Scotch
Distiller Notes
This masterful expression is initially matured in American white oak ex-Bourbon barrels, building a foundation of soft vanilla and honey notes. The liquid is then transferred to rare casks first used for 30-year old Matusalem Oloroso Sherry. This secondary maturation adds depth and silken elegance to the finished whisky, testament to those exquisite Sherry casks.
At 43.8% ABV, The Dalmore 21 Year has developed into a rare thing of beauty. Like the number on the bottle, it is a true coming-of-age whisky.
Aromas of seville oranges, bitter chocolate, Columbian coffee and vanilla. On the palate, sweet licorice stick, Black Forest fruits, roasted walnuts and thick marzipan. Finishes with notes of peaches, ginseng, pear tarte tatin and Sanguinello blood oranges.
